"United in Prayer, Service and Love"
May all glory be given to God who gives strength and wisdom to build his kingdom among women!
Theme for 2014-2016: "WOMEN DESTINED FOR GOD’S PURPOSE"
The Anglican Women's Fellowship (AWF) is a women's organisation, to which all Anglican women could belong. The AWF will seek to develop and consolidate women's work, and also create a fellowship of prayer and service among women throughout the Province of South Africa.
The aims and objectives of the AWF are:
- To promote and further the life of the Church in all spheres
- To participate as much as possible in ecumenical activities
- To co-operate and maintain good relations with all welfare organizations with particular emphasis on
- Prayer and Worship
- Fellowship and Study
- Mission and Witness
- Service and Stewardship
The Anglican Women's Fellowship has become effective in their service in acts of mercy and love towards the poor and oppressed; the destitute and marginalized; orphans and vulnerable children. This is in line with the Agenda of the Church. These are basic things God has ordained for the people to have when true freedom is realized; food, clothes, homes, jobs, education for children, access to healthcare and medicine, safety and security.
THE AWF PRAYER
God our Father, You have called us to worship and serve You in Your Church. We ask you to bless the members of the Anglican Women's Fellowship. Unite us in love, by the power of Your Holy Spirit and strengthen us to serve you in the world, through Jesus Christ our Lord. AMEN
